This bar chart shows how many hours that different categories of people spending on unpaid work like childcare, house chores, and gardening every week.
It is clear that, no matter how many children they have, married men are always doing 18 to 19 hours unpaid chores per week, which is much lesser than women.
For women, with and without children are totally different situation: both married and unmarried women spend more than 50 hours on those work every week if they have child. Once they have more than 3 children, it will be higher than 55. Meanwhile, women without children are doing chores less than 30 hours.
The uneven loading between men and women may reflect that women are being expected to do more unpaid work for their families due to social and cultural expectation.
